4. The GOP didn't care that she was under investigation. That's how little
they care about the VP slot. Add that to her daughter's pregnancy, and they might as well have just put Paris Hilton on the ticket, since all they were clearly going for was shock value and not responsible governance.

9. "She shouldn't need a lawyer if she didn't do anything wrong"
At least that is always the tripe that we hear from conservatives who favor unlimited powers for law enforcement.

18. The Fox story:
Palin Hires Lawyer for Investigation Into Officer Firing
by Associated Press
Monday, September 1, 2008

http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/09/01/palin-hires-lawyer-for-investigation-into-officer-firing/

GOP vice presidential candidate, has hired a private practice attorney to defend her and members of her staff in the investigation into the firing of her public safety commissioner.

The state Legislature is investigating whether Palin fired public safety commissioner Walt Monegan after he refused to fire a state trooper who had divorced Palin’s sister.

Anchorage attorney Thomas V. Van Flein has requested a copy of all witness statements and documentary evidence from the Legislature’s investigator, Stephen Branchflower.

Sen. Hollis French, an Anchorage Democrat, responded on behalf of Branchflower, saying he instructed Branchflower not to comply with the request.

In July, a legislative oversight committee approved $100,000 for an investigation into whether Palin abused her power in firing Monegan.

What's the next one? Anyone keeping track?

I think these are the next ones on the belt:
Left Wasilla AK $20million bonded ($3k per resident, 60% of which are below poverty line)
Links with the Alaskan Independence Party

what else?

23. Ain't that the truth.
A repub friend of mine messaged me the day after Palin was picked saying what an amazingly smart pick McSame had made. I told him the Democratic party was extremely happy as well.

I actually had to go to Fox news to see anything remotely positive about Palin and that was before all of these problems started to pop up.

20. Here's a link to some info on "The Good Guy," Walt Monegan
http://www.muni.org/apd1/chiefmoneganbio.cfm

Sarah Palin sought vengeance against a very much respected and admired law enforcement officer. For that, she deserves to be scraped off everyone's shoe for what she is.

Usually the investigations and lawyering up happen after the (s)elections.

Why hire an attorney now? I think there is a whole lot more to this investigation than Gov. Palin is saying, don't you?

26. No matter how you cut it, she doesn't seem to have enought time to learn how to be
a VP or to campaign. When does she squeeze in time to learn the issues that will come up in the debate(s) with Biden. Me thinks they will try to get out of the debates and the WH will ask corporate tv and paper media to not ask any questions on the economy, foreigh relations, whether she approves of executive orders and closed door meetings with the energy companies.

Her life is already loaded up and it's the hunting season soon.
