VP hopeful Palin attended 5 colleges in 6 years
Source: Associated Press

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin attended five colleges in six years before graduating from the University of Idaho in 1987.

Federal privacy laws prohibit the schools from disclosing her grades, and none of the schools contacted by The Associated Press could say why she transferred. There was no indication any of them were contacted as part of the background investigation of Palin by presidential candidate John McCain's campaign.

... She began college at Hawaii Pacific University, a private, nonsectarian school in Honolulu. She attended only as a freshman during the fall of 1982, school spokeswoman Crystale Lopez said.

... "We're trying to track down someone who knew her," Lopez added.

... Then she returned to Idaho, for spring 1986, fall 1986 and spring 1987, when she graduated. Despite her journalism degree, she does not appear to have worked for the college newspaper or campus television station, school officials said. She worked briefly as a sportscaster for KTUU in Anchorage after she graduated college.

10. But can they really hide her until the election?
Won't people eventually notice they don't know the first thing about her?

20. I'm beginning to think she was brought in as a plan B simply
as a destraction. The DNC raised some serious issues and contrast with the republicans, If Palin was a serious candidate that they believed in and had confidents in they would send her out to face her media critics.

8. HPU is a school for main land kids
to go to if they cannot get into UH. It is a fluff school and is worthless as far as acclaim. But, if you want to live in HI and go to college to just get a degree, then it is the right school.

16. In all fairness, it's next door for Alaskans.
I went to Nome once. On the plane ride out there, about half the passengers were Alaskan Natives returning from Hawaii. A bit odd, travelling out to Beringia and running into a bunch of Inuit with lais.

These people consistently insult those who work their A$$es off to get through college successfully and with high grades(if they can get there at all these days). They treat poor academia as a Badge of Honor. Case in Point 894 of 899

12. McCain's age
It's a macabre point to raise (redacted) - but a look at the actuarial tables insurance companies use to evaluate customers shows that it's not an irrelevant one. According to these statistics, there is a roughly 1 in 3 chance that a 72-year-old man will not reach the age of 80, which is how old McCain would be at the end of a second presidential term. And that doesn't factor in individual medical history, such as McCain's battles with potentially lethal skin cancer.
...

The odds of a 72-year-old man living four more years, or one full White House term, are better. But for a man who has lived 72 years and 67 days (McCain's age on Election Day this year), there is between a 14.2 and 15.1 percent chance of dying before Inauguration Day 2013, according to the Social Security Administration's 2004 actuarial tables and the authoritative 2001 mortality statistics assembled by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.

Going by the Social Security Administration's tables, that's nearly ten times the likelihood that a man aged 47 years and 92 days (Barack Obama's age on Election Day this year) will die before Jan. 20, 2013.

30. How interesting and right..
I found this interesting tidbit..think about this, heaven forbid!

Palin: average isn't good enough
She's not qualified to be president, and in picking her, McCain shows that he has little respect for the presidency.

So let us ask the question that should be on the mind of every thinking person in the world at this moment: If John McCain becomes the 44th president of the United States, what are the odds that a blood clot or falling object will make Sarah Palin the 45th?

The actuarial tables on the Social Security Administration website suggest that there is a better than 10% chance that McCain will die during his first term in office. Needless to say, the Reaper's scything only grows more insistent thereafter. Should President McCain survive his first term and get elected to a second, there is a 27% chance that Palin will become the first female U.S. president by 2015. If we take into account McCain's medical history and the pressures of the presidency, the odds probably increase considerably that this bright-eyed Alaskan will become the most powerful woman in history.

14. That's a lot of schools in a short time.
I've attended a total of six schools, but spread out over a lot more years, more than 40 to be exact. I finally got an associates degree from the last one.

U of Arizona
Northern Virginia Community College
George Mason University
U of Minnesota
U of Colorado
Johnson County Community College

Actually the most interesting thing to me about her college career is that she did not appear to have worked for the college newspaper or tv station while getting her degree in journalism. While journalism was never one of my majors, I thought that normally students who majored in it worked on the newspaper on tv or radio station. What phenomenally low graduation standards not to include that.

Woo-hoo! Go, NOVA.

You should see the place. It's wired beyond your wildest imagination. Everything is online. Would you believe they have an ice hockey team that played Johns Hopkins?

I'll bet I've been to six schools.

UVa. Piedmont VA CC. NVCC. St. Mary's, in St. Mary's County MD. George Mason.

Darn. One short.

21. I attended
NOVA, the Alexandria campus, in the late 70's. I was last back there about five years ago. It actually had changed surprisingly little.

It was, and I hope still is, a wonderful community college.

I just today finished paying tuition for a course there this fall. I can reach the campus on a bicycle, so it is a snap to commute.

32. I went to NoVaCoCo.
In the early 70's. Mostly up at the Annandale campus, then later Alexandria. My father didn't want me to go further than high school, nor drive. It was an affront to his ego (yeah, petty, I know). The Annandale location gave me the leverage to drive. And I paid for all my education there myself.

after I got my worthless bachleors in English from Mary Washington College I went back to take programming classes. They had good teachers at Annandale and Woodbridge. I didn't much like the Alexandria campus, no computers in the classrooms.

U of Mass

Northern Essex Community College

I've got one Associate's degree, and I'm working on another one. I never managed to put my credits together into a Bachelor's degree. But my education has served me well despite that.

She looks good, and talks like a conservative, even though she lies, is a terrible mother, spent her town into a huge hole, and is a criminal. She's also stupid, has never had a real job (just like McSame and *), and is bone ignorant.

34. Of my family, I was the only one to finish Collage in Four Years.
The rest of my siblings took longer, most only about a year for they changed Schools or Majors after the first year. Thus I am NOT impressed with this claim that she went to so many Schools. Several people in my family has done so, it is common. The real question is NOT how long she took to get her degree, but how she has used it and that is to look at her record as Alaskan Governor and her previous job in her home town.

p.s. I was the only one out of eleven to complete collage in four years (and then skipped a few years and went to Law School, but that is a different Story).
