3. I guess he found out that he was being deployed again.
This is turning into the Vietnam war in the early 70's. We need to leave Iraq and maybe even Afghanistan before things get even more out of hand.

for another deployment for several months now - my nephew was in the first unit to go - he has been deployed 4 times.

That not only are vets that are returning committing suicide, but also homicides as well. And the more soldiers that survive the horrors over there and aren't killed in action, the more we're apt to get those with severe adjustment problems returning home and killing themselves and those around them. If we really looked into how many people are dying, either directly or indirectly from this war, I think America would be shocked. Vietnam already has more suicides from that war than those that got killed in action (58,000). And they had a wounded vs. KIA ratio of 3/1 in that war. This war has a 17-1 ratio for wounded vs. KIA. Do the math, and figure out the potential numbers of those who could inflict harm on themselves and others!

7. I was considering some less stringent measures back when I was a reservist.
It would either be smoking weed or going gay. But I was never deployed again, so I didn't have to resort to those measures. :D
