10. I live in Ohio and let me tell you that team Jesus fundies run this state.
Don't say, "what about the Strictland". Ted can that Taft/Blackwell for his victory. I could have beat Blackwell.

and cohorts won't be there disenfranchising and chucking votes away?

5. Show me what percentage of the sample they polled identified themselves as Republicons
and I might believe the poll. But I can't find the info. So I'm not trusting this poll anymore than the others.

11. I too don't believe polls - I think they just promote sales of newspapers
and tv and radio.
I think the Republican party has in truth diminished. Most Republicans cannot relate or approve of any of this shit. They're just extremists running for office and are just a small portion of the entire party. I heard there were many many empty seats at the convention. I cannot believe any way, shape or form that they will win. They will have to steal it on a massive scale and because of that they will be caught. Polls don't worry me in the slightest.

19. That's an irrelevant and misleading statististic.
Since independents who choose Obama are more likely to claim to be Democrats, and independents who choose McCain are more likely to claim to be Republicans, this poll, like every reputable poll, does not control for party affiliation.

Party affiliation is not like age, sex and geodraphic orientation. It would statistically invalidate the poll if they controlled for that.

6. Still just a poll
It'll be more interesting in about a week or so. There will be enough time after the conventions for any bounces to have settled out and initial vetting of Palin will have hopefully started to enter mainstream, along with any Obama ads that match the supposed new tough attitude.

7. Agreed. Screw all polls.
It matters NOTHING right now. I do have to chuckle at people's reaction to them though. I see the same from many people here that some of my neocon coworkers do:

1. Poll supports my candidate: LOOK EVERYONE. WE ARE WINNING.

2. Poll supports other candidate: This poll is BS and completely wrong. I don't trust it one bit.

Screw all polls. The only one I care about is the last one.

8. Let McLame and Failin come back to Ohio.
I will shout them down if they show up around here. "Palin, You're a fucking JOKE"! "You're a threat to national security"! "Go back to Alaska you frigid bitch"!

Then I will be brutally "escorted" away from the event, and you all will never hear from me again...

"frigid fucking fundie nutcase". I'll have to rehearse that a few times, cause I could get tongue-tied in the moment, but I will give it my best shot!
