Fleeing Michigan a day ahead of schedule, Dean said that his e-mail missive, which said he would get out of the race if he did not win Wisconsin's Feb. 17 primary, was a "brilliant ploy" and one that he stood behind.

Early yesterday, he e-mailed 600,000 supporters: "We must win Wisconsin... . All that you have worked for these past months is on the line on a single day, in a single state. We have come so far to change our political process and restore our democracy - we can't stop now."

But speaking in Milwaukee, Dean declined to say he would definitely quit if he lost in Wisconsin, muddying the do-or-die message, which told supporters they needed to raise at least $700,000 by Sunday for him to continue.

"I'm avoiding answering the question by saying I'm going to win," the former Vermont governor said at a hastily called news conference at an airport hotel.

and none, NONE are reporting that the email led to the single biggest fund raising day in the campaign. so successful, in fact, that they doubled the goal. (please feel free to correct me, if you have heard otherwise. i am dying to be pleasantly surprised)
who still doubts that he is being trashed by the whore media?

3. Actually, in the very next line of the article,

it states that he had already beaten his fund-raising goal. Sorry, no bias intended, I was just adhering to the four-paragraph limit. :-)

I think Howard can eek out a win in Washington, and win big in Wisconsin.

If you look at all the results so far in the primary...where kerry won especially big there was hardly any turnout.....deleware in point!!!

Most democrats dont want kerry.

Edwards and Clark (clark i like) have run out of money!!!

Dean is the only alternative to Bush/kerry 2004!!!

Just say not no to Bush/Kerry 2004!!!!!
