Pentagon budget hits new record in spending bill

The Pentagon budget would rise to a new record while U.S. automakers and victims of hurricanes and floods would receive billions of dollars in a $630 billion-plus omnibus spending bill rushing toward the House floor Wednesday. ...

7. Swing Votes! National security and pump issues.
Fix that stuff after the elections. I think they are just laying low to a large degree. There a more than a few long time repugs wanting a change.

9. Since the Federal Reserve cannot control interest rates*, expect inflation
and a further dollar deflation. grrr.

*What I mean is that the Fed used to "control" the economy by setting interbank lending rates. Now it has become that the international banking community controls what rates are paid for US Treasury bonds and other long term debt "instruments" like corporate bonds and home mortgages.

Stagflation 2 - come soon to a suburb near you.

6. Plus, what about "off-budget spending" by the military? There are hundreds of billions being spent
...which the congress and the public knows nothing specifically about (some 25% to 30% of on-budget spending).
