Palin Contradicts McCain On Pakistan, Seems To Back Obama’s Position
Source: CBS News

(PHILADELPHIA) Sarah Palin told a customer at a Philadelphia restaurant on Saturday that the United States should “absolutely” launch cross-border attacks from Afghanistan into Pakistan in the event that it becomes necessary to “stop the terrorists from coming any further in,” a comment similar to the one John McCain condemned Barack Obama for making during last night’s presidential debate.

...

“If the United States has al Qaeda, bin Laden, top-level lieutenants in our sights, and Pakistan is unable or unwilling to act, then we should take them out,” Obama added.

McCain fired back hard, arguing that newly elected Pakistani president Asif Ali Zardari has had his “hands full” and suggesting that Obama’s tough talk was naïve.

...

“Waziristan is blowing up,” Rovito replied.

“Yeah, it is,” Palin said. “And the economy there is blowing up, too.”

“So we do cross-border, like from Afghanistan to Pakistan, you think?” Rovito asked.

“If that’s what we have to do stop the terrorists from coming any further in, absolutely, we should,” Palin said.

2. Yeah well
Palin IS the most useless politician I have seen in my 60 years . . . but Biden does the same thing to Obama. This is not at all to say that Biden is Palin, I have always loved Biden. But, well, I've never had a problem with VPs having different opinions. Of course, with Palin, she probably doesn't know what McCain's position is.

8. My guess here is that the major difference would be...
Barack Obama would probably encourage Biden's differing view points where he has them (I think he may have even acknowledged this at some point). Sure, Obama will have final say, but he wouldn't just dismiss them without a thought. McPOW, on the other hand is probably fuming anytime ANYONE in his campaign, be it Palin or an adviser has a has a differing view and expresses it publicly. Much like in a wonderful post this evening by Old Crusoe, this shows the authoritarian attitude of McPOW and the community organizer attitude of Obama. We may never see it, but you can almost bet that if McPOW hears that Sarah contradicted him, he will be foaming at the mouth.

3. Like she even HAS an opinon on this!
If you look for an opinion on ANYTHING IN THE WORLD OUTSIDE ALASKA....YOU WILL NOT FIND IT...

Seriously her big-fish-in-tiny-frozen-pond "experience" didn't even allow her to "focus on" Iraq or Afghanistan enough to comment on it IN 2006. SHE FAILS AS A CITIZEN. I mean come ON.

12. No, she's practicing for her book. You know, the one like the Bush books of malapropisms,
misstatements, and manglelations of the verbiage.

6. You know, sometimes little kids who play soccer forget which way their goal is.
They go crazy running the ball down the field only to score for the opposing team.

10. Great analogy, leftright. I've seen that more than once. And they are SO proud of themselves until
the teammates show up for the reality check.

7. Then it's obvious that Obama is wrong.
If Palin supports it, go the other way.
