Dick Cheney Endorses McCain
Source: Huffington Post

The Obama campaign gleefully sends over an announcement of a major endorsement.... for John McCain... by Dick Cheney.

"In three days we'll choose a new steward for the presidency and begin a new chapter in our history," the Vice President said Saturday morning. "It's the biggest decision that we make together as Americans. A lot turns on the outcome. I believe the right leader for this moment in history is Senator John McCain."

1. Barack updated his remarks set to be delivered in Colorado today
I'd like to congratulate Senator McCain on this endorsement because he really earned it. That endorsement didn't come easy. Senator McCain had to vote 90 percent of the time with George Bush and Dick Cheney to get it. He served as Washington's biggest cheerleader for going to war in Iraq, and supports economic policies that are no different from the last eight years. So Senator McCain worked hard to get Dick Cheney's support.

But here's my question for you, Colorado: do you think Dick Cheney is delighted to support John McCain because he thinks John McCain's going to bring change? Do you think John McCain and Dick Cheney have been talking about how to shake things up, and get rid of the lobbyists and the old boys club in Washington?

17. Yeah, this ought to be good. "Cousin Dick" goes outside the family.
Dick, you're my older cousin, and I love you. But don't take sides with anyone against the family again. Ever.

Only the ill informed and ignorant support McCain. If you want to find out a person's IQ, without actually having them take a test, just ask them whom they support in this election. -

45. Thank You, That Was Very Helpful
I think, based on the way one side of his mouth goes down, while the other goes up, and by the way he choked upon saying McCain's name, that he is lying in his teeth. And the grimace when he mentioned Palin was most distinct!

If Cheney is hoping that the GOP candidates will win and cover his ass, he is sorely mistaken. They aren't winning, even if it took him months to grudgingly endorse.

Or maybe he was allowed out of his coffin for Hallowe'en?

In any event, I expect Cheney will flee the country around Xmas. He would be a fool not to.

50. Years ago, I posted a guide to interpreting Cheney's body language...
can't remember exactly, but it was something like this:

When he tilts his head to the left, he's lying.

When he tilts his head to the right, he's prevaricating.

When he holds his head up straight, he's dissembling.

And finally ...

When he closes his mouth, he's stonewalling.

24. Well it looks like...
Sen. McPOW has clearly won the highly sought war criminals endorsement, with only Colin Powell choosing to back Sen. Obama (and let's face it, Powell is a light-weight next to the REAL war criminals). So to recap, McPOW has war criminals, racist, fundies, the ultra-rich and some just plain stupid people all of which are willing to put their personal feelings ahead of the good of the country and world. Leaving Obama with only decent people of all races and income levels who love America and care about the future of the world their children and grandchildren will grow up in, who want a decent job and a chance to retire someday, and who can see the big picture. I guess we're about to see what kind of America we really live in. I'm cautiously optimistic.
