USS Freedom Docks in Milwaukee - Just in time for election day

MILWAUKEE -- The USS Freedom has made its way to Milwaukee.

The close to shore combat ship pulled into the Veterans Park harbor Sunday morning.

It's the first of its kind built for the U.S. Navy.

The 378-foot ship and its crew will be docked in Milwaukee for a week of events until the Freedom is commissioned this Saturday.

Surprise, a fully crewed close shore combat ship just in time for Election.

I believe it was built in Wisconsin and launched in September.

Perfect timing for a HUGE military presence in Milwaukee...I doubt it is comabat ready but it probably is designed for Homeland Security activities in the Great Lakes....

the USS Freedom was built just up the lake from Marinette, WI and has been under construction for more than 3 years.

this is not some sort of tin foil hat timed event.
