PELOSI EASILY WINS RE-ELECTION - EASILY BEATING SHEEHAN
Source: San Fransisco Sentinel

Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi easily won re-election to the House of Representatives Tuesday despite a challenge from renowned anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan.

With all precincts reporting, preliminary election results showed House Speaker Pelosi with 72 percent of the vote. Sheehan, who appeared on the ballot as an independent, garnered 17 percent support.

Republican Dana Walsh received 9 percent of the vote and Libertarian Philip Berg received 2 percent.

Sheehan gained fame as an outraged mother after her son Casey was killed in the Iraq war in 2004. She became an outspoken critic of the war and garnered national media attention when she led a protest outside President George W. Bush’s Texas ranch in 2005.

I am going to go out on a limb and predict that Nancy Pelosi will be reelected as Speaker of the House in January.

You heard it here first. ;)

72. What is untrue about her opponent having raised enough money to advertise on radio and TV?
Edited on Tue Nov-11-08 12:25 PM by Freddie Stubbs
"Well I'm actually over $108,000 right now," said Golub.

That's $108,000 from people who've seen her ads on the air or on YouTube or on her Web Site. It may be chicken feed compared to Pelosi $2 million war chest.

But Golub says it's enough.

"It's allowed me to do television ads radio ads newspaper ads, and just outreach to people because I'm not yet a household name despite the rubber chicken," said Golub.

Pelosi has held down the nation while the criminal Bush Junta raped it over and over and over.

I'm sure she's secured some good federal funding for San Francisco, and that keeps her re-elected -- unfortunately for the rest of the nation.

Pelosi serves at the pleasure of the majority in the House. If the majority doesn't like her leadership style, they can replace her at any time. Funny how no one has made an effort to do that.

was no prerequisite for being a US Representative.

In fact, Thomas Jefferson and other Founding Fathers envisioned representatives being elected from all walks of life, serving for a term or two, then returning to their previous profession and allowing someone else to represent their district.

66. GET THIS MESSAGE TO OUR PRESIDENT ELECT PLEASE
Edited on Mon Nov-10-08 10:50 PM by TNTSLIM
I am requesting your assistance " Democratic Undergrounders" if you agree with me that this Inauguration must be for

our Troops and their families and not for the ," usual suspects" of "who is who" while our Troopers are facing a

ruthless and determined enemy on three fronts shall we be like "President Bush in 2005 where one headline read...

" Bush Dances While Mothers Mourn ?" ( Just google it folks.)

If you read what follows and you agree with it then please, let us get the message out like a Tsunami to the President

Elect please.

a humble "suggestion" to the President Elect, who is a very humble and

fiercely Patriotic American.

Please, help me get this "suggestion" to Our President Elect,Barrack

Obama.

These were the headlines when President Bush was inaugurated in 2005.

http://montages.blogspot.com/2005/01/bush-dances-while-mothers-

mourn.html

http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/2005/01/11/inaugural/

It is my humble suggestion to the President Elect that during his

Inauguration that he set a different pace and tone in Washington,The

Country and the World by inviting as many of the Families of our

Fallen Soldiers and Soldiers serving in the Battlefields of the Three

Front War which we are fighting as he can ( and let the party officials

and supporters take a back seat to them and assist in bringing them to

the Inauguration) and on 01/20/2009 the same food which is being

served to Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan that day be served at the

Inauguration Dinner and the President and His family should partake of

the very same food in the very same utensils which the Soldiers are

eating on that day.

Our President should remember the words of an ancient soldier (Uriah,

who was betrayed by his Commander In Chief), and I quote Uriah's=20

words to his Commander in Chief,David," And Uriah said unto David, The

ark,and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the

servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go

into mine house,to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou

livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing." Second Samuel

Verse (11)Unquote.

Mr.President,as the Children and the families of the fallen soldiers and

the Soldiers are fed at your Inauguration=A0 we know there shall be

no Alcohol with Children around and no drunks but please, let your

Inauguration be lacking in the show of Wealth in a nation beset by great

economic problems and so many of us without Jobs but has chosen to

place our confidence in God that you shall be the President that you

want to be a President for Main Street and Wall Street ....a President

for all America ...a President who feels our pain and shares our dreams

and who remembers the fallen Soldiers and their families and His

Troopers in the Field of=A0 Battle facing a ruthless and determined

enemy so that we could sleep peacefully at night.

God bless our President Elect the incoming Congress and God Bless

America.
