Palin Reveals 2012 Plans: Kindergarten For Son
Source: CBS News

The former Republican vice presidential nominee reflected on what was a relatively short, but indisputably strange, trip on the campaign trail. Asked about her thoughts on 2012, Palin was coy.

“Oh, you know it seems like so far,” she said as she held her six-month-old son Trig in her arms. “2012, we will be enrolling him in Kindergarten.”

Palin then gestured to her seven-year-old daughter Piper who had just returned from a swim at the hotel pool. “She'll be headed to what? About 5th grade, 6th grade by then. Those are my thoughts at this point is 2012 seeming a far way off today.”

“But I have absolutely no intention of engaging in any of the negativity because this has been all positive for me, for what I believe in, the values that I represent and the progress that I want to see America be able to make. Just absolutely no time for the pettiness. And that’s kinda just the way I’m wired. I don’t have time for that.”

6. Hey Sarah, maybe you're finally 'getting it right' for once.....
being a "good" mom is one of the toughest, most thankless - yet most rewarding 'jobs' one could ever have. It's not typically glamorous or anything, but it has its "glorious moments", that's for sure. Maybe you should give it a shot. Being a good mother takes strength and real character day-after-day, year-after-year....and 'good motherhood' does leave a legacy that will be carried on for generations.

16. Pfah that slimebucket is just dodging he question of a pres run
by hiding behind her children.

Just like she kept her newborn up all hours of the night so she could wave it around after the veep debate.

What a revolting creature... hope she runs in 2012 :D

18. I think that too - hiding behind her children and dodging the question, etc.
I was just hoping/ENCOURAGING her to 'do the correct thing' (which isn't in line with her misguided ambitions).

7. Well, I hope he is ready for kindergarten. The fact that she assumes that
is interesting given her claim to know about "special needs families". Being a member of one of those,
I have to wonder if it's ever occurred to her that Trig may not progress at the same pace as her other kids.

Now she gets to go home and find out what it's all about. The first year is often the easiest. I hope for Trig's sake
that his disability is mild, but it pisses me off that she claimed to know all about how it is for those of us that
have special needs kids/family members before she possibly could have.

I hope I never see her again.

26. I hope his disability is mild too, but as so many have noted before, Trig does not look good...
... and is simply being carted around like a sack of potatoes at this point in his life. If she's an inattentive mom--or simply has her attention elsewhere, as may be the case -- she may like it that he's an undemanding baby and let him go on being a baby for a couple of years. It's so easy to let the older children be the babysitters. Some of our DUers have pointed out that Down's children need a rather intensive program of therapy in order to reach their potential, and that it needs to be started sooner rather than later. He may not be a candidate for kindergarten at 4 or 5 years old.

I also hope we never see Sarah again.

Thanks for your input.

Hekate

28. I don't know how schools in Alaska work, but here in MI
Kids with special needs get into school long before kindergarten.

The Detroit Day School for the Deaf starts with them when they are 3. Most other programs start with 4 year olds, and in a large community like Detroit or Grand Rapids, Head Start can accomodate some special needs. So can the YWCA's day care programs.

I doubt anyone is going wants to see a 21 month battle again. That big battle and hurdle - though - is over and done with by Obama himself. Now he needs to unwind, so he can represent the people.

Does she not know what grade her child is currently in?
Or is she just incapable of adding four years to that?
I feel so badly for her children.

15. OH! SHUT THE FUCK UP!
OF COURSE YOU"LL BE BACK IN 2012! YOU KNOW IT! JUST SAY IT!

The Repugs made fun of us by "claiming" we picked a candidate who:
1.Came out of nowhere in a unsuccessful presidential election
2.Had little experience
3.Talked a lot but said little
4.Was treated like a Messiah
5.And who was just hard to really "KNOW"

Now I dispute the arguments above but just look at what the Republicans are doing now. Even after just coming out of an unsuccessful presidential election, the wing-nuts are already making plans for a chick who came out of nowhere, has only two years of actual experience under her "endangered wolf leather belt", who uses cute :puke: catchphrases and her hockey mom status to appeal to people, is so much treated like profit by the Conservative movement her picture is probably pasted over their Virgin Mary posters, and even though it's only been two fucking months since we even knew the name Palin, all the Repugs seem to know know her just fine. "Oh yeah, Palin.....yeah we know her.....um tax cuts.....pro-life...er hunter right? Yeah we know her."

Can't you see what's happening. They're trying to make her into their own OBAMA! ARRGHHHHHHH! :argh:
