'Cuba will not host Russian missiles'
Source: Press TV

Cuba rules out the possibility of deploying Russian missile system in the Island to counter a planned US missile shield in Eastern Europe.

“We acknowledge the right of Russia to take response measures and to reply to the growing aggression of the United States and NATO, which are trying to encircle her,” visiting Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque told a press conference in Moscow on Monday.

The top Cuban diplomat said 'the answer' to a possible deployment of a Russian missile defense system in the Caribbean country was 'no'.

"Our cooperation is developing in all spheres including politics, economy, culture and science. But our partnership will not be directly aimed against any third countries," Perez Roque said.

Change is working already. Cuba does not want to challenge the second coming of JFK, and Russia better take heed. There is a new sheriff in town and he ain't puttin' up with this crap.

2. Good article, however I don't see any indication any "new sheriff" would be
pressed one way or another to be "puttin' up with this crap."

The conditions which led to the direct invasion of Cuba in the Bay of Pigs (which had actually been planned out during the Eisenhower administration, and involved training Cuban "exiles" in Guatemala for that invasion, well before J.F.K. was even elected) which triggered a need for a defense against a future invasion, opened the door to old Russia's stepping in to deter future direct aggression. A promise was made that the U.S. would not engage in any future direct aggression, and the missiles were removed.

How does this, in any sense, relate to Cuba OR Russia attempting to make the U.S. "put up with crap?"

3. You should check your facts

Russia has been putting up with US crap for the last 15 years and now is drawing a line in the sand - no more encirclement, ABM shields and aggressive rabid puppet states that we support and they act like monkeys with a live grenade.

Enough is enough.
I hope Obama and Medvedev will hit a good tone in their dialogue very soon and all this republican macho-militant bull will go away.
