After months of silence, South Carolina’s mainstream media is finally devoting some ink to the “golden parachute” received by retiring Carolina First founder Mack Whittle.

How come? Well, the former USC Board of Trustees Chairman and Carolina First founder is getting called out by none other than S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford.

He probably won't be able to stop it or do anything about it, but its in the open now. I'm sure most of the elected officials get complaints and hate mail. I think we should be just as quick to thank them when they get it right.

Exposing Wachovia's all expense paid trip for it's exec's and their families to the Greek Isles caused them to cancel. There needs to be more of bringing to light these excesses and abuses.
