Bush says faith sustained him through presidency
Source: AP

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — President George W. Bush said Thursday that faith changed his life long ago and has sustained him through the challenges of his presidency.

"Faith will sustain me for the rest of my days," Bush told a conference at the United Nations. The two-day conference was designed to bridge differences between religions and cultures.

Bush met on the sidelines of the conference with King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, a country criticized for religious intolerance. All 192 U.N. member states were invited to the event, which the king set up following one he helped organize in July in Madrid.

"We may profess differ creeds and worship in different places, but our faith leads us to common values," Bush said, adding that all people have the right to worship as they see fit.

15. The "god" of Abraham...
Edited on Thu Nov-13-08 02:22 PM by Baby Snooks
A man named Abraham was walking in the desert, no one knows whether he was walking there or was cast there, when this big black rock fell from the sky. Abraham, believing it to be a sign from a new god, built a temple around it. And so it began. Today, that temple is known as Mecca. The old god most likely had cast Abraham in the desert and threw the big black rock at him. And unfortunately missed. Hopefully next time the old god won't miss. And will rid us of the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims. And for good measure, he can rid us of the Buddhists and the Hindus and all the other religious people who think hating and murdering other people is a virtue that makes one more blessed by their god.

I have had it with religions and their "my god is better than your god" and really have had it with the three religions of the god of Abraham.

The black rock is most likely an enormous black diamond. When the oil runs out no doubt the Saudis will make peace with the Israelis. "We have this big black diamond we might trade Palestine for if the price is right."

At which point the Jews and Muslims, already having been almost wiped out by the Christians and their "crusades" and "inquisitions" and "holocausts" conducted in the name of Christ, may declare war on Christians. Fine with me. One down. Two to go.

For the second time in my life an African-American woman told me the other day she is a Christian and so she does not believe homosexuals should have equal rights or any rights because they have brought a curse on themselves and on those who support them in their sin, no doubt a reference to AIDS, according to the Bible.

For the second time in my life I lied and told an African-American woman that I was a Christian as well and believed in the Curse of Ham and so what she thought or believed in didn't matter since god had already cursed her according to the Bible.

It is in the Bible. Something all those Christian African-Americans in California should have thought about when they joined the Mormons, whose "faith" was founded by a polyamorist and polygamist, and according to some a pedophile, which in itself points out the hypocrisy of Mormons in "defending" marriage, in denying marriage to people who in many cases have remained committed and faithful in their relationships far longer than many of the people who went to the polls claiming their opposition to Proposition 8 was based on "it is in the Bible."

So is the "sin" of eating shellfish. Why don't they go picket a Red Lobster?

As for the faith of George W Bush and so many others, may he and others who share that faith rot in Hell for eternity. They believe in this mean old man in the sky. So do I actually. And as I said, hopefully next time when he starts throwing big black rocks he won't miss.

54. Please don't use polygamist and polyamorist as interchangeable
There's a reason we changed the name. Those of us who are secular and believe in multipartner marriages want no part of what the mormons defaced.

This public service announcement brought to you by America's polyamorists, "We may want multipartner marriages but we don't feel any need to push our beliefs on you!"

32. The Battle Hymn of the RepublicS - (Excerpt)
George sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
So long as he is safe at home, he won't accept defeat;
Let others fight, and bleed and die, till victory's complete;
While George just watches on.
Glory! Glory! Hard of hearing! Glory! Glory! Hard of hearing!
Glory! Glory! Hard of hearing! King George says "Bring it on"!

In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born for you and me,
But George has asked the Lord instead to keep him company:
George asked the Lord's advice, on 9-1-1 and all, you see;
And God said bomb Iran.
Glory! Glory! Hearing voices! Glory! Glory! Hearing voices!
Glory! Glory! Hearing voices! Iran is next in line.

He is bringing forth the rapture that his loyal base has craved,
He is manna to the wealthy, He is horror to the slave;
And the world shall be His footstool, 'till we all beg for the grave,
Our George keeps marching on.
Glory! Glory! Egomania! Glory! Glory! Egomania!
Glory! Glory! Egomania! Our George keeps trampling on.

37. Dubya grew up with a different Jesus
The Jesus that has sustained him is one that tells him to torture any "suspect" like cab drivers or 15 year old children, and tells him to invade a country and make up lies to do it, to hide coverage of American soldiers coffins, to slaughter a million or more innocent human beings so him and his friends can live in obscene opulence for the rest of their lives.

Is this what he means by "We may profess differ creeds and worship"?

61. Bush, you will suffer for all eternity for your unspeakably evil deeds...
Not so much because God punishes any man or woman for eternity, but because you are too fucking stupid to learn from your transgressions, to grow and to change for the better after seing the results of your innumerable fuck-ups.

You could live one hundred lives, Bush, you ignoble bastard, and not learn a single thing, because you think that by pretending that the voices in your head are the Almighty tellin' ya what the score is, that makes you pious, righteous, etc.

Those voices George? That's YOU. That's your subconscious, telling the rest of your brain what dark desires it has, and which you should act upon.

Torturing the innocent.

Murdering the innocent, even children.

Destroying entire societites, both foreign and domestic.

These are YOUR desires, Mr. Bush. Not those of the Lord. YOUR desires.

And don't think for one fucking infinitesimally small portion of a second that you will not pay for your atrocities.

You will. And until that merry day, I hope that your salubrity can be sustained by your faith in a God, YOUR God, who never was.
