Blast in Pueblo kills 1, levels two buildings
Source: Denver Post

A massive explosion in downtown Pueblo demolished two buildings Thursday afternoon, killing one person and injuring about a half-dozen more.

Woody Percival, spokesman for the Pueblo Fire Department, said the explosion about 2:20 p.m. at the Branch Inn, 301 S. Union Ave., trapped five people in the restaurant and two others in the neighboring Classic Boutique.

The explosion occurred in Pueblo's historic district, which is lined with restaurants and boutiques, Percival said. He said the explosion occurred one block south of the spot where Barack Obama spoke Nov. 1 before about 15,000 people.

A co-worker of mine was across the street when it went off. Her SUV is still there covered in rubble.
I couldn't imagine if this would've went off when Obama was there.

The woman who died was 22 year old working at the boutique.

2. Or a broken gas line.
No need to imagine a conspiracy when there is probably a more reasonable, if less sensational, explanation.

This article suggests that it might well have been a natural gas line break.

4. Your response didn't offend me -
sorry if it sounded that way. Honestly, I just get a little concerned when folks leap to the more improbable explanations - it's really not good for mental health! Assume the best, prepare for the worst is what my granny told me (her take on "walk softly but carry a big stick, I guess . . .)
