Some Conn. Democrats Still Want Lieberman Punished
Source: The Hartford Courant

Some Connecticut Democrats say they believe Sen. Joe Lieberman's colleagues in Washington let him off the hook and now it's time for them to move forward with a possible censure by the state party.

The U.S. Senate's Democratic caucus voted 42-13 Tuesday to condemn statements Lieberman made while supporting Republican John McCain in the presidential race, but allowed him to keep the chairmanship of the Homeland Security Committee.

Two members of Connecticut's Democratic state central committee, Audrey Blondin and Myrna Watanabe, say they still plan to ask Connecticut's top Democrats to consider a resolution repudiating Lieberman for publicly backing McCain. It would also ask him to resign from the party.

A meeting of state Democrats is scheduled for Dec. 17.

3. WHY DID THEY VOTE FOR HIM THEN!
Fucking hell, the party has made it's decision and now we move on. Why? Because there are more important issues to deal with right now.

4. Justice needs to be served
The Senate Democrats abdicated on doing justice to Lieberman. There can be NO HEALING until justice is served to Lieberman, Bush, Cheney, etc..

5. They didn't. The majority of CT voters picked someone else.
But with 3 candidates, he had the plurality.

8. The puke voters
backed Lieberman over their weak nominee who came in a poor third, in a runoff situation 100% of those votes would have gone to Lieberman, electing him anyway.

9. So let's commit to supporting a strong opponent to him in 2010 when he is up for re-election...
and remember when he got elected:

1) Fox news crews were seen putting up his signs.

2) He faked a hack of his website...because he was losing big in the poles.

We can all get our revenge...it may take a few years...but so what. Let's use him for now.
