Zogby Engages in Apparent Push Polling for Right-Wing Website
Source: Nate Silver - Fivethirtyeight.com

The conservative website HowObamaGotElected.com reports that it has commissioned Zogby International to conduct a poll of 512 Barack Obama voters as part of what can best be described as a viral marketing effort to discredit the intelligence of Obama supporters.

The website, created by former radio talk show host John Ziegler to promote a forthcoming documentary, features a YouTube clip of interviews with 12 Obama voters who "were chosen for their apparent intelligence/verbal abilities and willingness to express their opinions to a large audience". The clip portrays the Obama supporters as giving "incorrect" answers to political questions such as "which candidate said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket". Of the 12 Obama supporters interviewed for the clip, 7 (58%) are black; nationwide, about 23% of Obama supporters were black according to the national exit poll.

What a couple of douche bags. I guess when they can't make Rev. Wright or Bill Ayers stick, they go after the supporters. Didn't Zogby get caught push polling near the end of the election too?

8. Something tells me there is a Drudge connection
The material is right out of Drudge's site and Ziegler used to fill in for Drudge on his Sunday radio show.

9. Ironically, Zogby is now whining that they stand by their crap poll.

:spray:

Hopefully they will get exposed for the fraud that they are and CSPAN will drop them as a polling partner.

11. the right must face facts
republicans (and by extension: conservatism) lost this election cycle - it had far more to do with the performance of the sitting President and Congress as well as the underwhelming candidate and his messaging than it did with the influence of the big bad evil liberal controlled media.

as to the media causing the loss (and democratic victory)

the influencing of voters by partisan influencers has been going on since time immemorial, why is there such a shock about it now?

Media, political machines, union leadership, religious leadership, local crime figures, teachers, university professors, the milk man, your neigbors and discussion board posters have all tried to influence elections and all of them have as much as credibility and influence as the voter allows.

To quote a famous man: he who is without sin cast the 1st stone.

12. And what percentage of McCain voters thought Obama was
a Muslim? Or better yet...the anti-Christ. Good luck assholes. I'd like to see a "How Obama Got Elected" Site version 2 that shows the idiocy of McCain-Palin supporters. I think enough were scared to our side because of those people.

13. "Is our children learning?" - Dubya
Ironic... The neo-cons are concerned about the "apparent intelligence/verbal abilities" of voters, but not the President.

14. Check the wiki entry on Ziegler. He used to be on radio here in Louisville.
Total right-wing talking point robot. Not one original thought ever entered his head.

And how he ended up in a relationship with Darcy Divita I'll NEVER know...and then that old cretinous dirtbag goes on-the-air and divulges intimate details about that relationship. What a vile piece of shit Ziegler is.
