US Warns of China 'cyber-spying"
Source: BBC

"The report said the US government and economy were critically vulnerable to cyber-space attack since both depended heavily on computers and the internet.

The panel of six Democrats and six Republicans said China would continue to target the US using cyberspace as it was cheaper and less risky than traditional espionage activities. "

When will we begin to accept the reality that China is constantly spied upon, and that the United States government has the technical ability to view the contents of any computer in China, that they choose to view, remotely, regardless of any security attempts by the Chinese ? Computer screens can be read remotely right from the screen. Keyboard inputs can be remotely followed. Contents of computers can be sucked out via net and non net connections, at will, whenver, wherever, the United States government chooses to do so.

Why do you think the Soviet Union, in their most secret scientific labs, banned all computers, all electronic calculators and all electronic communications
devices ? They made their scientists use slide rules for calculation because they knew they could be monitored with every touch of the keypad or keyboard
electronically, completely, absolutely.

Now, knowing that, is it time for Democrats to start a new Cold War with China ?

Accusing China of spying is unfair, one sided, and morally and ethically indecent.

Let's see some truth about cyber spying, shall we ? It's time Americans knew what goes on and how it is bending the world's politics and angering
everyone on planet Earth, against America and its empty insistences on "human freedoms" which it violates every day, right across the whole planet.

1. I know exactly what China does, thank you very much.
They've stolen countless thousands of identities and perpetuated millions in credit card fraud, JUST in the area of massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) such as World of Warcraft. Even though it is against these games' end user license agreements (EULAs), many people will buy the currency in use in the game world (gold, platinum, what have you) or will take the lazy way out and get their online characters power-leveled for some preset fee through one of these "botter" sites, which are pretty much always run in China.

The idiots trying to buy their way to power in what is supposed to be a fun game should know better, but they readily give their credit card information over to these Chinese websites. The tales of duplicate transactions, non-delivery and other horror stories are legion, but because these people broke a game's EULA they have no recourse through the game - and in fact would get their accounts deleted just for admitting to dealing with one of these services.

Who can even guess what else they're up to over there?

2. Unless the Pentagon isn't spying on China, there's nothing anyone can do.

3. The fact is, the World Bank has been deeply probed for a year.
We likely have NO secrets, with regards to derivatives etc. And everyone{Chinese} knows everyones economic business. And if we veer, the Chinese will know it. I originally thought Paulson's stickup was a payoff to the Chinese that knew our fraud. I read a thing on quantum encryption, that is impossible to crack. I expect wartalk, if we show any real independence on the new economic order. Bu$h already has agreed to be equal, not superior in the new order. This wouldnt just happen, unless someone had serious dirt on us. We still have a lotta weapons.

4. There must be a diplomatic reason for these statements.
Personally, though, I am more concerned about the US spying on me. Am I going on a list? Is that list, if it exists, manned by religious nutcases and other assorted fascist types? Etc.

The danger does not come from the welfare state, but from the police state.
