6. My wife's 1997 200 SX has been very reliable and is still going strong.
I wasn't that big of a fan before but I can't argue with the darn thing just working and working. Which in the end is all I really care about in a vehicle.

5. Nissan said its sales in the U.S. market for October dropped 33 percent
Toyota's dropped 26%. The US automakers aren't the only ones hurt by the credit crunch.

9. Probably view it as a way to defeat another union
Nissan has one of the worse records in the world when it comes to unions, in 1953 it endured a 100 day strike, just to break the union (The union leadership was later fired and the union itself replaced by a company controlled union, both of these acts are illegal in the US but legal in Japan).

As to their "all electric" car, that is an attempt to come out with an all electric car, not that they have any plans to cut out production of gasoline cars. Like AMC in the 1970s, Nissan was taken over by Renault, for all practical purposes, when both companies exchanged stock (Nissan received "non-voting" Renault Stock, less has less control over Renault then the French GOvernment which hold 15% of the Renault Stock, Renault received VOTING stock in Nissan and thus controls Nissan). I see both companies becoming more and more one big company, with Renault talking to GM and Cerberus o it can regain control of Jeep, Renault may be back in the US before the Decade is out).

8. If they have no major new models, what's the point of going to the shows?
Seems like a good idea to me.
