Cholera Zimbabwe's 'worst crisis'

The cholera outbreak in Zimbabwe is "the greatest threat ever to face" the country, opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has said.

His warning came after health officials said the outbreak, which according to the UN has killed 360 people since August, was under control.

Aid agency Oxfam earlier called on Zimbabwe's government to declare a national health emergency - a call rejected by the government.

Oxfam said ordinary Zimbabweans were desperately short of food, health care, clean water and safe sanitation, and the crisis is set to worsen significantly in December.

2. Isn't cholera caused by unclean water? This is a BIG problem in much
of the developing world. The next resource crisis.

4. Until recently drinking water was NOT a problem in Zimbabwe
Unfortunately the "war veterans" having run out of farms to pillage have found that stealing pumps, irrigation equipment and public utility lines to sell for scrap in South Africa is the best way to stick it to dead white Britons.

And while Zimbabwe had a high level of modern civil infrastructure - the funds needed to maintain these facilities have all been embezzled.
