http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/news/nation/7941903.htmSen. Jon Corzine yesterday attacked President Bush's newly formed commission to investigate American intelligence-gathering, saying it did not have the resources and money to find out, among other things, what went wrong in the run-up to the Iraqi war.
The New Jersey Democrat said that because the panel named by the President to conduct the probe would not have subpoena power and would not be holding public hearings, it would have little credibility with the public.
<snip>
Corzine pointed out that an independent panel appointed by Bush and congressional leaders to investigate the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks had to threaten use of subpoenas on several occasions to get federal agencies to turn over documents.
Corzine has been pretty consistant in hammering Bush.
