11. "Tripp" like something one does on acid, and then spells badly? You know at least Zappa was rich
and a famous musician when he named his kids Dweezil and MoonUnit....

What is Bristol's excuse to hang this poor kid with such a moniker? And why didn't Levi talk some sense into her?

20. Forget the college funds for these kids.
They'll need the money instead for therapy. A great way to ensure a painful childhood for your kids is to give them weird names that their schoolmates will make fun of at every opportunity. Might as well hang a sign on them that says "beat me up".

63. Many kids at the school where I taught had made up names
We used to joke that the parents threw down scrabble tiles and whatever came up was the kid's name. Some were even unpronounceable, and in desperation they concocted a nickname or else just went by their last name. Oprah used to joke that people just put a "shuh" onto a word to create a new name, and she said she was tired of it.

39. Thanks! My birthday wish - sincerely - is that
any child born in America today, including Tripp, will be able to go to college when they come of age, if they want to. And if not, I wish them a good living in the trades. I wish for even line cooks, maids, lettuce pickers and dishwashers to earn a decent living and get whatever education they desire to persue.

Our children, including Tripp, are our future.

Seriously, look what he gets to rebel against!

May it be so!

55. There was also the infamous Captain Trips from SK's The Stand, also with 1 "p" and an "s" hehe
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Trips

Captain Trips is a fictional virus occurring in the Stephen King novel The Stand.

A form of superflu (influenza), it originates in an American biological weapons laboratory under the Mojave Desert in California, commanded by a General William "Billy" Starkey, and is hinted to have been created by breeding a hybrid of influenza and an AIDS-like illness. 99.4% of the human population is vulnerable and the disease is universally and swiftly fatal to those that catch it. Those who are immune to Captain Trips are utterly immune — in one instance, protagonist Stu Redman is unknowingly injected with the virus, only to have his immune system kill it. No medical basis for this immunity is identified in the research conducted, nor is it discovered why some people have immunity (although it is implied that the survivors are chosen by a higher power). The only evident connection between the immune persons that doctors identify is that all seem to be heavy, vivid dreamers.
