Mrs. Bush Opens 3-State Fund-Raising Trip
BENTONVILLE, Ark. -- First lady Laura Bush promoted teaching as a profession Tuesday by recalling 20 sets of young eyes staring up at her on her first day on the job, when she learned a difficult lesson herself: don't rush through the lesson plan.

"There are few professions where you can see the impact of your work so vividly, and there aren't many jobs where hero and best friend are part of the job description," Mrs. Bush told students at Bentonville High School. "There are few careers that have such a big impact on an entire generation and an entire nation."

Mrs. Bush told of her first day as a teacher in neighboring Texas, shortly after she received her teaching degree decades ago.

"At 9 o'clock, we started to work," she said. "We recited the alphabet and numbers. We colored and put together puzzles. We read a few books, and then a few more, and by 9:15 a.m., I had gone through my entire day's lesson plan."

1. Did she explain why she quit?
Why she decided that she'd rather be a librarian? Of course, she quit THAT job the minute she snagged a hubby--didn't bother to wait for motherhood.

3. never worked another day in her life after that either.
just sat back and enjoyed being a snow white princess of a Bush.

She has the nerve to say she is a contemporary woman. Most women do not leave all that training and oney and just give it up.

She is the perfect example of the woman who, in those days, was scorned for even going to college because at one time it was not considered worth it to send a woman to college--because they get married and have children and do not make any use out of all the education and all the money it took to give them that.

That is why women became either nurses or secretaries. My own father said that to me and it was pretty much a way of thinking at that time.

Laura Bush has just set herself up as the epitome of the wife--spend thousands and thousands of dollars on an education and career, and then just drop it all down the drain if you happen to meet and marry a rich guy. She has no sense of herself at all.

She sure has learned from her disgusting, smirking husband how to say something and stretch it's meaning to imply something else without really saying it. She is as much a slimey prevaricator as her slimey husband.

cheap, couch upholstry suit. She is said to have gone from a size ten to a size eight in a recent puke puff piece in the LA Times.

. Excuse me, but this is the same couch

upholstrysuit she was wearing when she was a size ten. And it is truly unflattering and dumpy, frumpy looking. It is, in fact, horrible and it does not flatter her at all.

Her botoxed , eye lifted probably more than once face looks like a wax mask--In Madame Toussads she will look perfectly normal.

no sense at all....

since laura decided to come out and campaign as a public figure, I suppose it's now safe for us to comment a bit on her trashy attire...just like we are allowed to do for any other public figure...by laura's own actions, it's fair game....

this is the very same outfit highlighted on Betty Bowers web site during a 2001 interview with laura....

during that interview, laura said

"A true lady is always worried about showing up in public in the same outfit as someone else. Avoid this potential problem by completing your Liz Claiborne stretch slacks with a Butterick jacket you can make yourself using fabric from an old lilac bridesmaid's dress." --Laura

11. It's where she puts her pack of cigarettes?
 Brings the eye's attention to the rather gravity challenged front appendages and the designer must never ever have met or measured her or suggested that the gravity challenged appendages perhaps could be reigned in, uplifted or/ and supported higher in order for the suit to look sleek or have a nicer line?

Maybe it came off a Goodwill rack? You know, it was a little out of shape to begin with from years of use?

17. Hey, look! Her right hand is BEET red! Is that from slapping the monkey?
The one she's married to? Or, is it from upholstering with very rough fabric?

16. She had to quit teaching
From the article:
"At 9 o'clock, we started to work," she said. "We recited the alphabet and numbers. We colored and put together puzzles. We read a few books, and then a few more, and by 9:15 a.m., I had gone through my entire day's lesson plan."

Obviously, not fully trained to be a teacher. REAL teachers have lesson plans for days, even weeks, ahead. Laura was a piss-poor teacher, but rich in the pocketbook once she landed her personal bathroom monkey.

Shouldn't she be doing something besides campaigning - that just costs us more money.

5. I guess junior needs his extra 50 million.
Anyone notice that pundits are now referring to bush's 150 million dollar warchest? Wasn't it supposed to be 200 million? Wonder if contributions are starting to drop off? Still a lot of money, I'll grant you, but even so, not what they were trumpetting.

9. Too bad
this Stepford leech is used to having other people pay her keep since she quit her career and jobs when she married the alcoholic, little boy Bush.

She has been riding high ever since.

What did she do in all of that time?

Nothing.

NOthing beneficial at all. She leeched off the Texas voters and did othing, and now she is trying to embellish her life "accomplishments" and present herself as a real intellectual who has been unfairly thrust into the limelight she never desired and never wanted. Poor, poor Laura. Bullshit!

She feels as entitled as a born and bred real Bush. Her attitudes and expectations and life style since then, show it.
she is a Princess, in her mind. and she deserves it, in her mind, because she birthed children into the Bush family evil empire,

Yipee--she birthed children and was a Mom. Wow, what a godamm, unique accomplishment!

Well a lot of us have done that according to our physical, evolved function on this earth. No big deal, really.
We are constructed to do that.

Some of us have had more than two. No big deal. Millions of us have done the same thing and more than the Princess, Laura, and we do not think it any big deal.

Those who have not, do not have anything to be ashamed of either, It is not a measure of one's worth if they do or do not have children and Mother's day is just a day for a huge money making deal with a lot of corporations and it is way out of proportion as usual in this country.

Everytime I hear her talk, I hear her saying "look out for the black hell-ee-cop-teeerrrss." Is that flat nasal slow cadenced monotone common in Texas?

Ladies, you too can support your president. Forget about all those women who urge you to vote. We all know it's best to leave those things up to our men. Now go ask your husbands for some money to give to Laura's husband.
