Source: The Detroit News

Chrysler LLC reported selling less than half of the number of vehicles it sold during January 2008, with sales falling 55 percent.

General Motors Corp. and Ford Motor Co. both saw vehicle sales fall more than 40 percent last month compared to a year ago.

GM's sales fell 49 percent in January, a drop fueled by an 80 percent drop in fleet sales. Ford, meanwhile, reported vehicles sales fell 42.1 percent last month.

1. Honestly
I can think of NO situation, natural, man-made, emergency, or otherwise, that would compell me to acquire a Chrysler.

Free brand new Chryslers being given away down the street?
I could not get excited. You can have mine.

I really cant think up any scenario, in which I'd want to have a Chrysler.

4. Some of us do, and have no problems.
My 04 Dodge Dakota has been running strong for the last 25k miles. Though I'm not a Dodge fan, their Dakota pickup trucks are the only vehicles I like from Chrysler. Best midsize trucks out their.

10. I own a
Ford.

Though it doesn't matter. It was bought used. Very used.
Hell! My house cost less than a new car, nowadays.

I have insufficient income to affect the American automobile industry in any way. I've never paid more than 1500 for a car.

No matter. Really
A brief search of your previous posts shows that your dedication to Gay Rights, has not been in evidence, even before you learned of my disdain for a Chrysler.

5. Sales down 55%, time for more bonuses for top executives.
Seems as these corporations spin into red ink and failed sales, they pay executives big giant bonuses for destroying the companies. If they completely bankrupt a company and fire most of their workers then whatever is leftover is handed out to top executives.

11. All car manufacturers are going to/continue to plummet....
With so many unemployed or afraid of losing their jobs.....this is only the beginning. Who's going to buy a car if they're afraid of losing their job?
