Cao, Republican suit attacks federal campaign limits

A Republican effort to overturn some federal campaign finance limits has edged forward in federal court.

The lawsuit by Rep. Anh "Joseph" Cao and Republican Party officials targets limits on what the state and national party can spend on a coordinated campaign.

In U.S. House races, state and national parties can each spend around $42,000 on a campaign in which they work together. Party officials are trying to knock down that restriction.

1. Are they sure they want to continue with this suit?

After all, look at how much the Democrats raised in the 2008 election cycle compared to the Repugs.

This could be one of those "watch what you wish for" moments for the GOP.

2. I know, huh.
I bet they're on their effin knees right now thanking bojeezus they didn't do "the nuclear option" when they were in the majority. They'd be very very sad right now, I think.
