Venezuela Catholic mission hit after Jewish attack
Source: Reuters

CARACAS (Reuters) - Tear gas canisters were lobbed into the Vatican's diplomatic compound in Caracas on Wednesday, the head of the mission said, days after armed men vandalized a synagogue in the capital.

The Vatican's Nunciature had been the target of tear gas attacks in January blamed by some officials on hard-line supporters of socialist President Hugo Chavez who say the Roman Catholic Church meddles in the country's politics.

Venezuelan media said two canisters landed inside the compound and two fell outside.

"We totally reject these actions, they cannot be permitted," Giacinto Berloco, who heads the mission, said.

1. Do what England and Mexico did: Effectively nationalize
the Roman Catholic church so that the Pope and his boyfriends have no influence in your country and the Catholics can still worship as they have for hundreds of years.

3. QUI BONO!?!?

Why is this international news?! It is "false flag!" Didn't some anti-Chavez protesters meet there?! They probably did it! No one was hurt, so why is this news, I mean this shit happens all the time.

Do I really need the :sarcasm: tag?

If you are Catholic, and you find this story might be true or important, you are probably a Papist* and ready to sell out your country as it is led down the path to McCarthyism! All Hail the Pope! (again, more :sarcasm:!)

*My apologies to any Catholics. I am not one. I don't make a practice of using slurs against any group as a matter of "fact." I do use it as emphasis when it is against gays and Jews, both groups of which I belong.

4. As a Catholic, I'm not offended
Did you read the rest of the story? A recap of the synagogue attacks and of "rising anti-semitism" in Venezuela. I don't know if I buy that. Being a critic of Israeli policies does not make one anti-semitic: I remember a Jewish co-worker (granted, a very secular Jewish co-worker) who criticized Israel more harshly than any Gentile critic I ever heard. (with him, it was sort of like bitching about your brother, than getting furious if anyone else bitched about him.)

these "attacks" don't pass the smell test, IMO: psy-ops, maybe? Then again, maybe Venezuela has a history of anti-semitism I don't know about.

5. Rotters at it again! They are getting to be worse than the Associated Pukes.
"...blamed by some officials on hard-line supporters of socialist President Hugo Chavez..."

Nowhere named, or even vaguely identified in the article. (Church officials? police officials? U.S. embassy officials?)

This is really, REALLY Pukish.

I won't even go into the rest of it.

Totally fucking made up, is my opinion. Rotters probably threw the tear gas cannisters themselves, to have an excuse to repeat the synagogue story.
