US soldier dies of non-combat injuries in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq – The U.S. military says an American soldier has died of non-combat injuries in Iraq.

A statement says Spc. James M. Dorsey, 23, of Beardstown, Ill., was found unresponsive by fellow troops in Baghdad on Feb. 8 and attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.

The statement released Wednesday says Dorsey was assigned to 1st Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment.
