WASHINGTON - The House has passed the massive, $787 billion economic stimulus bill — sending the spending and tax cut package back to the Senate for final passage.

Majority Leader Harry Reid said a Senate vote could come before the weekend.

Obama, addressing a White House group, noted earlier that lawmakers had a "spirited debate" and said the legislation is "only the beginning" of what he considers necessary "to turn our economy around."

While the president did not get all he wanted out of the bill, he's expected to sign it when it arrives at his desk — possibly as early as Monday.

3. So let's not send any money to their districts. Obviously they don't want it.

4. Don't punish their constituents
I, unfortunately, have a GOP representative and we desperately need the stimulus money. McCotter is a idiot who doesn't represent his district well.

5. They could cleverly put in a clause that
will require elected reps from each district certify that the funds are needed before any disbursements

2. I assume no Republicans voted for it?
It will probably pass the Senate by the same number it did the first time. This will be as "bipartisan" as the GOP will be for the next four years.

9. Heres my E-Mail that I sent to Todd Tiahart My REP 4th Dist,Ks
Thanks a lot,It really seems to me that no matter what concessions and tax cuts the Obama Admin added to the Stimulus bill, you were determined to vote no anyways.
The Republican (Your Party BTW) version created 1.2 Million Jobs and the "Obama" version created 3+million jobs....Yet you have voted to cut taxes for years, voted to continue the Iraq war(With Defict Spending I might add)and you and the rest of the "House Republicans" have done NOTHING to help this country!! I (And the rest of the U.S.)am extremely tired of this partisan Bullcrap!
Just wait for 2010....Your gonna need the the increase in unemployment benefits (25$) that ya'll so kindly gave folk like me!!!
