House Members Seek KBR Contract Review
Edited on Fri Feb-20-09 12:45 PM by Hissyspit
Source: Associated Press

Members of Congress are asking the Pentagon to review a $35 million contract awarded to a company under criminal investigation in the electrocution deaths of U.S. soldiers in Iraq.

The Associated Press reported that Houston-based KBR Inc. was given the contract involving electrical work months after a senior Pentagon official rejected the company's explanation of mistakes in Iraq and questioned whether confidence remained in KBR's electrical work.

The letter from New Hampshire Rep. Carol Shea-Porter is signed by 18 others Congress members.

Company spokeswoman Heather Browne said Friday that KBR has not done shoddy electrical work as the letter contends. The company denies any wrongdoing.

1. It should be revoked. They are/should be found guilty
of negligent homicide for the deaths of service men in Iraq.

2. All KBR contracts should have been revoked long ago.
As soon as the faulty wiring stuff killed a U.S. soldier, KBR should have lost every contract. That they are even considering new contracts for these thieves is unconscionable, IMO.

4. Not only that...
They should be barred from being eligible for government contracts for the next 1,000 years. I'm not joking, I think it should be at least that long in punishment for what they have done to our fellow Americans.
