Gordon Brown Named Worst Public Speaker
Source: Sky News

Gordon Brown has been named the most boring public speaker in England - even more boring than footballer David Beckham and actress Kate Winslet.

Beckham came second and Oscar-winning Winslet third in a survey conducted by speech-to-text company SpinVox.

Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles and Prince Charles completed the list of the top five speakers to avoid at all costs.

The poll of 1,000 adults found actor Stephen Fry was the country's most popular speaker, even beating US President Barack Obama.

1. Maybe someone should tell them that neither Obama nor Beckham is in England? And if they prefer
an actor to Obama as a speaker, what does that say about them? Just asking.

6. Agree, but the "award" is supposedly for the worst public speaker in England. Whatever else
you may say about President Dummya, he did not emigrate. Unfortunately.

8. Harsh i think
Probably because most people see him doing those god awful sofa interviews in breakfast TV where he looks like he's never sat down o something comfortable before and a string in the back of his head keeps pulling his mouth open to reveal his teeth, when someone shouts smile in his ear.

He's a good tub thumping speaker at Labour conferences usually and i thought he was good in the US congress

9. I agree his speech in Congress was good. His delivery...
...was okay, and the speech itself was good.
