3. No, that's chickenhawk fever. And it's only contagious to conservatives. |

2. Very little info there. |
|
Bad news that it's reached Texas, though.

6. I saw this in the paper yesterday. |
|
They said it was not at all a threat to humans and that not even that many birds were sick.
The scary thing is that one of these days this virus is going to mutate and jump to humans. So far I've heard it is in the northwest, northeast and now the south. That will be some serious crap if it jumps.

7. As I understand it, there are now |
|
two seperate strains of human'safe' bird flu active in the US. What I would like to know is how it made it from the Northeast to Texas without any additional cases in betwee. I fear there are more, and we simply haven't found them yet.

Maybe this explains the brutal sinus infection I've had this weekend...though I'm a few hundred miles from the San Antonio area.

10. Texas is now so polluted, thanks to dubya, that it's amazing |
|
ANYONE has sinuses left! I'm surprised people's sinuses haven't been eaten out and disintegrated by all the pollution shrub left behind.
Speaking of health...I don't know ANYBODY anymore, around where I live, that feels "great", except for an occasional strong day now and then. Even the young adults who have just found their wings are lying around a lot when they're not working or in school. I've been believing for a while that, since the repukes trashed the EPA, we're all being slowly poisoned. :tinfoilhat:
But Texas is rated the worst state in the nation now, for pollution of all types: air, water, soil. <sarcasm>Don't we just LOVE it that very few of the most vulnerable people have adequate health insurance coverage to deal with the health results of pollution anymore. <sarcasm>
The whole freakin' world is upside-down right now. What happened to all the things this country formerly BELIEVED in??? Well..."repukes and their greedy corporate idols" is the answer.
O8)I hope you guys in Texas start feeling better real soon!O8)
First mad cow, now chicken flu. The fish are already so full of mercury we can't trust eating them, either! Growing organic food, and becoming vegetarian, may be the only way any of us are going to survive all this! Goat meat is really good! Some folks like mutton (I don't). Does anybody have a good recipe for possum?

No need for tinfoil, dear Loudsue. The trashing of the EPA has simply sped up a process that has been going on for decades.
