DETROIT - The Joe Louis fist - a downtown landmark commemorating the boxing great - was vandalized early Monday.

Two men were in custody after police say they coated the fist with gallons of white gloss paint. "

It's pretty obvious what was going on here, painting a symbol of Black empowerment white. Now it's been revealed that one of the suspects is an elected Parks Commissioner from Superior Twp. Any bets on what party he belongs to?

The suspect, Brent Cashman is a member of the Libertarian party.
