NORTH COUNTY ---- The North County man who helped deliver the historic recall of Gov. Gray Davis said Tuesday he is teaming with a tax watchdog to oust Attorney General Bill Lockyer for not halting San Francisco's parade of same-sex marriages.
Former North County Assemblyman Howard Kaloogian said he and Ted Costa, head of the Sacramento taxpayers group People's Advocate, began gathering signatures Tuesday for a notice of intent to circulate a petition to recall the state's top lawyer.

Kaloogian, a 43-year-old Republican from San Marcos who is running for U.S. Senate, said the court filing may persuade him and Costa to back off.
"It depends on what he (Lockyer) really files and actually asks for," Kaloogian said, saying at a minimum he wants an injunction blocking marriage ceremonies for same-sex partners.
