It seems they are trying to tone down the ever increasing rumors about dumping Dick.

The ticket is weaker with Tricky Dick II.

2. Cheney stays

Bush is looking to set up a dynasty here. Brother Jeb is next in line, so he wants to make sure someone with no chance of taking over (ie. Cheney) is going to be VP rather than set someone else up for a run.

What Bush 43 doesn't realize is... "Like father, like son."

3. Their mistake

Cheney has been shadowy --hidden away in some undisclosed location, they should just keep him there, he is creepy with his shifty eyes, speaking humorlessly out of the side of his mouth, and pitch some pop culture icon like Guiliani...just in time for the NY convention.

4. I look for Cheney to have health related problems this summer.

He'll drop from the ticket in July or so. This does two things: It gives them a better VP candidate and it gives them some sympathy votes.
