The communist state fired two short-range missiles off an east coast base, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported, citing an official.

The move came as UN diplomats began work on a resolution to punish North Korea for its underground nuclear test.

The latest tests on Tuesday involved one surface-to-air missile and one ground-to-air missile, Yonhap said.

11. China holds his strings. We won't go there.
They could stop him if they wanted to, I guess.

One day he'll finally snap and blow up Seoul, I predict around Dec 2012.

4. Maybe we should encourage Japan to re-militarize
with all the armaments to be supplied by US manufactures, of course. it would be a great stimulus package.

OK, I was kidding.

13. Why should the Japanese want to buy from America
If they chose to do so they have Mitsubishi, Kawasaki, Sumitomo and a lot of the old boys that supported the Empire in the 30s and early 40s. They are quite capable of building their own weapons. And they will be very good.

...has turned into Obama's REAL TEST! Seriously, Bush left nothing with a simple fix...Everything Obama will have to fix will piss someone or some group or some part of the country off and cost a lot of money!

I guess Bush did "Fuckin Shit Up" very well!!

14. Im not sure how he made it worse...
Clinton got the North Koreans to make a deal, the North Koreans broke it.
Bush got the North Koreans to make a deal, remember when they imploded that reactor as part of it? But eventually the North Koreans broke it.

I wonder if Obama realizes, unlike Clinton and Bush, that sometimes there is no negotiating in good-faith with lunatics.

I think our only hope is China pouring over the border again, but this time to take out these ass-hats.

7. I have to wonder how long they are going to continue with this tirade
Just found out about the 2 missles today. With Roh's suicide Saturday and the nuclear test and two missles yesterday, it's been a very crazy few days here.

North Korea fires more rockets, says U.S. hostile
By Jack Kim Jack Kim – 27 mins ago

SEOUL (Reuters) – North Korea, defiant in the face of international condemnation of its latest nuclear test, fired two more short-range missiles off its east coast on Tuesday and accused the United States of plotting against its government.

In a move certain to compound tensions in the region, South Korea said it would join a U.S.-led initiative to intercept ships suspected of carrying weapons of mass destruction, something Pyongyang has warned it would consider a declaration of war.

South Korea's Yonhap news agency quoted a government source in Seoul as saying the North had test-fired one surface-to-air and one surface-to-ship missile off its east coast. The missiles had a range of about 130 km (80 miles).

North Korea could also launch by Wednesday more short-range missiles, perhaps toward a disputed sea border with the South, South Korean media quoted government sources as saying.

North Korea fired off three short-range missiles on Monday.

15.  This is about internal politics.
His health is failing, with it his power. He wants to be in a position of power when he selects his replacement. He is acting tough to impress his people.
