Case delayed for South African denied US visa

A judge has delayed a lawsuit involving a South African scholar who was denied a visa and barred from attending speaking engagements in the United States.

The American Civil Liberties Union sued the U.S. government, arguing Adam Habib was denied a visa in 2007 because he denounced the Iraq war. He wants to visit the United States to speak to scholars.

ACLU lawyers say excluding Habib violates the free speech rights of organizations that invited him to speak.

The State Department says Habib was barred because he has "engaged in terrorist activities" ...

If the professor is engaged in "terrorist activities" then what better place to spell it out than in a court of law? So why the delay on a http://www.huffingtonpost.com/adam-habib/banned-why-a-south-afric_b_65800.html">2-year old lawsuit?

has become the broad-brush with which to keep people out.
It used to be they're Communists/Reds (and not the ones from Cincy)
