Curtis Dean Anderson was already a notorious pedophile and child murderer by the time he died in state prison in 2007.

Now, the former taxi driver can be labeled a serial killer, authorities said Monday.

Anderson was convicted of the 1999 murder of 7-year-old Xiana Fairchild of Vallejo and of kidnapping another girl from the same city the next year. In late 2007, dying of liver and kidney problems, Anderson confessed that he abducted 7-year-old Amber Swartz-Garcia as she jumped rope outside her Pinole home in 1988, drove her to Arizona and killed her, authorities said.

After investigating his story for a year and a half, the FBI and Pinole police have concluded he was telling the truth.

I can't imagine the agony they endured, and the terror that little girl must have gone through. What drives people to do horrible shit like murdering little girls?

2. I remeber that case as a kid

She was just outside of her house skipping rope and then she just vanished. Nobody saw her being abducted.
