Eight injured in Central City mine

CENTRAL CITY, KY (WFIE) - Fire crews are on the scene of a mine tram accident in Central City.

It happened at the Ken American Mine on State Route 181 North, in Central City.

Crews have been on the scene since just before 3:30 p.m.

McLean County officials tell 14 News Muhlenberg County has called to borrow helicopters and an EMS unit from them.

The fire chief tells 14 News that they are pulling people from the underground mine
