(AP) Four U.S. service members were killed in a bomb attack in eastern Afghanistan Monday, the U.S. military said.

5. Speaking of DEA agents...
the number in Afghanistan is being increased five-fold right now, from about 15 to about 80.

Will they ignore traffickers linked to/part of the Karzai government and its allied warlords?

2. A few things our military hasn't ever seemed to realize about non-linear/guerilla warfare
1) It will never end. As long as an army is seen as occupiers by one person they'll be able to convince ten to fight with him against it.

2) Guerillas aren't stupid. They don't waste ammo. They have time and terrain on their side, and they watch us and learn. Just like any resistance in any overwhelmingly occupied country has done throughout the ages. Obviously some more successful than others.

3)If the people see it as a religious crusade then they will fight you to the last. Forcing you to become the purveyors of near genocide.
