IMF to consider more funding for Pakistan on Aug 7

WASHINGTON, July 30 (Reuters) - The International Monetary Fund will consider Pakistan's request for additional financing under the country's $7.6 billion IMF program at a board meeting on Aug. 7, an IMF spokeswoman said on Thursday.

Pakistan has requested another $4 billion in financing under the existing program as "insurance" to help it cope with its economic crisis. The board meeting will also consider releasing the next installment of $850 million under the program.
