Armed gang jailed after being 'named and shamed' on Facebook

The Parson Cross Crew showed off guns and knives on social networking sites after some were convicted for a teenager’s murder.

Dale Robertson, 18, was stabbed to death after a girl’s 16th birthday party on the council estate in Sheffield a year ago.

A woman who is too terrified to use her real name, but calls herself Morag Kendo, decided to take action when she discovered boastful and intimidating images on websites. She created the Facebook website “The Parson Cross Crew Named and Shamed”, initially with 25 of the pictures but the number soon doubled. “I got hold of a lot of the pictures from other public websites, however, quite a few of them were sent to me through email by people who know these people and had had enough,” she said. The photographs included an image one of Mr Robertson’s killers, Reece Mendez, 18, holding a spiked baton

Her site prompted a rival Facebook page in which threats were made against her, referring to her as “a grass” and containing commented including: “Wanted, dead or deader.”

Police were able to use the photographs as evidence against four further gang members at Sheffield Crown Court for firearms offences.

But they still go to great lengths to traffic firearms from other countries to Britain. If you outlaw guns in one country, you might as well strengthen the gun laws of the surrounding countries.

About the gangs prison sentences, I bet the UK prisons are as tough as ones in America.

the "wanna-be-black" part usually identifies someone who is NOT black but takes on common stereotypical mannerisms, speech patterns, and fashion styles of what would be called inner city black gang culture. The post you replied to was not bigoted and you should apologize.

poster you referred to could have made his point by saying "wanna-be-gangsta" and omitted the reference to "black". er part I don't agree that it was necessarily bigoted on his/her part but I see how it could have been seen as such.
