Report: Bin Laden met with Pakistan leader
Source: UPI

KARACHI, Pakistan, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- A former Pakistani intelligence officer alleges Osama bin Laden has met five times with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Khalid Khwaja, who worked for Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence, told a news program Wednesday he arranged meetings between bin Laden and Sharif at bin Laden's request, Karachi News.net reports.

Khwaja said so far the two have met five times.

"I challenge the deniers of such meetings and can present solid evidence in this respect," Khwaja said.

BTW, Nawaz Sharif wasn't even Prime Minster at the time. He was removed in Oct 1999. He was in jail for a while after that, then exiled to Saudi.

7. Yes, a not believable claim considering that Saudis comprised 15 of the 19 hijackers.
And the noteworthy fact that the term 'al-qaida' itself is not Urdu (the official language of Pakistan), but Arabic. But hey, it shouldn't surprise any of us that the neocons and Bush administration were able to brainwash even Democrats into believing that the big bad boogeyman "over there" is Pakistan, and not the state from which a majority of al-qaida's warriors and leaders came.

3. First, they say he's dead. Now, he's meeting with Nawaz Sharif. Next thing you know, Benazir will
be calling from beyond the grave with requests for lilies and lilacs. I mean, it seems no matter how bizarre the claim, anyone even remotely connected with the political establishment in Pakistan can find someone in the Western press to take them seriously.
