Battalion lands in Greece for intense training session
Source: Democrat and Chronicle

Greece wasn't exactly a battle zone Saturday, but it was close enough to Iraq for a military unit to use the town for an intense training session.

"This town has everything we need," said Sgt. 1st Class John Prince, 39, of Palmyra. "The infrastructure is perfect, it is close to the city, it has a water treatment plant, schools to work with. It fit perfect for this exercise.''

Except when the troops land in a helicopter for the first time in Iraq or Afghanistan, they probably shouldn't expect to have 300 or so town residents cheer and clap as they hit the ground.

That's the reception that 401st Civil Affairs Battalion members received when the helicopter landed on the grass at Greece Town Hall at 8:07 a.m. Fifty troops marched out of the chopper and joined the other 100 or so troops already assembled near the 12 Humvees used in the training.

7. I wasn't sure if you are allowed to alter the title
Edited on Sun Sep-13-09 04:44 PM by jakeXT
I was thinking about it.

Use the EXACT TITLE of the article you are posting, without additional comment. If there is no title yet, be descriptive.

8. You did right
You should use the exact title. Wouldn't worry about it : equal confusion occured at times with the issues in Georgia.....lol.
