ABC NewsMoammar Gadhafi finally found a friend today when the Secret Service told suburban officials that the shunned Libyan leader would be heading for his tent in Bedford and they must protect him.
The Secret Service directive came 24 hours after officials in the posh town of Bedford issued a stop work order on Gadhafi's palatial tent that was being erected on 113-acre estate owned by Donald Trump. Bedford officials even threatened criminal action if the Libyans didn't obey the order and vacate the tent.
The Secret Service overrode that order today. Westchester County Executive Andrew Spano issued a statement today saying, "We have been told by the Secret Service that at some point Gadhafi will be in Bedford. The Secret Service has asked the county police – along with the state police and the town police – to help protect him."
Spano said the Secret Service order was distasteful. "We have no choice but to help with law enforcement, but I remain outraged that our taxpayers have to help protect someone that we don't want in this county," he said.
Trump's spokeswoman Rhonna Graff said only, "We have no comment."

Bet the f'ing RW'ers will blame Obama for this. I'm no fan of Gadhafi, but he is a world leader and he's not in the U.S. that long - Bedford needs to just f'ing deal with it.
