Obama shifts date of climate summit visit (Dec. 18)

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama on Friday abruptly altered the timing of his appearance at an international climate summit in Copenhagen, hoping to capitalize on steps by India and China and an emerging plan to help developing countries mitigate impacts with $10 billion a year.

The move means Obama will be at the summit on Dec. 18, considered a crucial period when more leaders will be in attendance, as opposed to his original plan to be in Denmark next Wednesday on his way to Oslo to receive his Nobel Peace Prize.

It also means that Obama will be squeezing in a separate, 10th foreign trip before Christmas — a record pace of travel for a first-year president — as a means to giving momentum to a deal aimed at curbing global warming.

"After months of diplomatic activity, there is progress being made towards a meaningful Copenhagen accord in which all countries pledge to take action against the global threat of climate change," the White House said in a statement announcing the change.

"China and India have for the first time set targets to reduce their carbon intensity," it added.

3. K& R.....
"After months of diplomatic activity, there is progress being made towards a meaningful Copenhagen accord in which all countries pledge to take action against the global threat of climate change," the White House said in a statement announcing the change."

But Obama knows doesn't he that there has been a big scandal over the fake data submitted by those scientists and the release of the e-mail memos which prove there is no man-made global warming and that the earth has gone through several of these warming and cooling stages before?
Its not a secret..except to main stream media watchers....its all over the internet now.
Some fear the Copenhagen meeting is for the New World Order along with the U.N. to form the base of the new world orders ability to rule over the entire world.
I have read that the treaty with Copenhagen would be relinquishing America's sovereignty and we would be agreeing that the rule from the New World Order would be obeyed over the rules of the U.S. Constitution.
I only hope he signs NO treaties until we learn the truth..however and whatever that may end up to be.

5. emails prove... fake data... new world order... America's sovereignty... NO treaties...
Science, or (gibberish) PR-funded ideology?

10. Meteorologist suggests NOAA is manipulating data to support climate claims and political goals
What makes this such a scandal is that in supporting the claims of global warming, NOAA ignored the results from their own system of ocean-swimming robots, which confirmed in 2008 that the Oceans are COOLING!

12. The importance of signing a binding agreement in Copenhagen
The criminal activities of whoever stole the emails should have no influence on the proceedings in Copenhagen this week. In fact, whether humans are causing global warming is not even the issue.

The issue is not one of science, but of social justice. America has long exploited the underdeveloped world in order to get rich, and it's time we paid reparations for our sins.

Fortunately we finally have a president who understands this and has the courage to force it to happen without regard to political opposition.

4. The last trip to Copenhagen...
...did not turn out so well. Personality matters little, substance matters a lot. Claiming "China and India have for the first time set targets to reduce their carbon intensity," does not encourage me, since that is all smoke and mirrors (to be paid for by others) and everyone knows it.
