The race for a Pennsylvania seat in the U.S. Senate in 2010 couldn't get any tighter, according to a poll of state voters released this morning.

Democratic Sen. Arlen Specter and Republican challenger Pat Toomey are deadlocked at 44 percent each, the latest Quinnipiac University poll says.

Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,381 state voters from Dec. 8 through Monday. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.6 percentage points.

Pennsylvania voters also gave President Barack Obama a narrow job approval rating, 49 to 45 percent.

Mr. Specter held a 53 to 33 percent lead over Mr. Toomey in the May 4 poll, but Mr. Toomey took a 43 to 42 percent lead Oct. 1.

3. Richard Nixon was much more of a Democrat than LIEberman. Magic Bullet boy is no
Democrat by any stretch of the imagination.

If Sestak does not beat him in the primary, there are many of us who will not give the traitor our vote next November.

An enemy is an enemy.

4. Utter BS...
Specter is whatever he has to be to win elections.

He now has the Dem party backing him for election so he will say all the right things to keep his the campaign assistance coming in. He will swerve left in the primary, tack back to the middle for the general, and then do whatever he wants for a few years till it is near re-election time.

Do not count on ANYTHING Specter says or promises.

This guy is a pure political animal. It is all he has known for a very long time. He stands for nothing.

5. Yes, but...
He's voting with the democratic party on the things that matter in the senate.

Vote for his challenger in the primary, but if Specter happens to win the primary dam sure vote for him in the general election because he'll be far better than a repuke in that seat.
