WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The war against Iraq (news - web sites) was the right action to take because Saddam Hussein (news - web sites) had been more dangerous than North Korea (news - web sites) and posed an "urgent" threat, U.S. officials said on Sunday as they defended the U.S.-led invasion on its anniversary.

"I do believe it was the right thing to do and I'm glad it's done," Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said on CBS' "Face the Nation."

The Bush administration, a year after the March U.S.-led invasion, is dogged by questions of whether it exaggerated the threat from Iraq to gather support for the war.

The White House justified the war by saying Iraq posed a danger because it had weapons of mass destruction, but since the invasion no stockpiles of biological or chemical weapons have been found.

... Lies and the Lying Liars that tell them...:puke:
