Blair's boy crashes car into taxi
The eldest son of British Prime Minister Tony Blair was uninjured after crashing his car into a taxi in south England, The Daily Telegraph newspaper said on Wednesday.

Euan Blair, 19, initially took the blame for the accident that happened at a junction in Egham, said taxi-driver Simon Hayden, who is claiming £1 000 (about R12 000) to cover the damage and three days' worth of lost earnings.

Hayden, who runs Egham Taxis, told the newspaper: "He was walking around in shock saying, 'My mum's going to kill me.' I asked him his name and he said Euan Blair, and said he was moving homes at the moment. He had no ID, so the police were called.

"When I asked if he was one of the Blairs, he just smiled. The police later confirmed to me that he was the prime minister's son," Hayden told the newspaper.

2. This story is not getting much attention at present
I can't find the story on the BBC website & I've only just managed to find it lurking in the Torygraph. Can't find the story anywhere else in the mainstream press (which is odd I must admit). I've used Egham taxis before too!

3. At least he owned up to it....
And it's not a big story anyway. If it had been one of the Bush sluts they would have just told them who their daddy was and the cab driver would have had his throat cut by a member of Dumbya's death squads as he slept.

6. Is it really necessary
to call the Bush girls names? Good lord, why sink to name-calling (sexist at that)?

11. Please,
Tell me why calling those two women "sluts" is necessary to civil discourse?

13. And you have
personal knowledge that it does? Or do you also just like to engage in unwarrented name-calling? Thanks for helping to cheapen political debate.

5. None of our business
Since this has nothing to do with Blair's official conduct or his credibility, why is it any of our business whatsoever?

8. agreed.
The kid is 19. He got into a fender bender. Could happen to anyone. Not even a mention of drugs, alcohol or otherwise. Just an accident.
