Tiller Stalker: Ex-AG's Crusade Against Kansas Abortion Doctor Revealed In New Complaint
Justin Elliott | January 21, 2010, 4:41PM

In a new ethics complaint that alleges large-scale abuse of office, the former attorney general of Kansas is accused of dispatching staff to record license plates of women entering George Tiller's abortion clinic, getting records from a motel where patients stayed, and obtaining state medical files under false pretenses, then retaining them after his term as AG was over and repeatedly lying about it in court.

All of this occurred during Attorney General Phill Kline's unsuccessful pursuit of Tiller, the doctor who ran Women's Health Care Services of Wichita and was shot to death, allegedly by an anti-abortion extremist, in 2009.

Kline is also accused of violating professional standards by appearing on the O'Reilly Factor five days before the 2006 election to talk about his pursuit of Tiller, flouting a warning from the state Supreme Court not to publicize legal positions. He was up for reelection as AG at the time.

Kline, who has forged his career as a single-minded opponent of abortion -- he was named Man of the Year in 2006 by anti-abortion group Operation Rescue -- now teaches law at Liberty University in Virginia. He faces a hearing in May before a state board for the discipline of attorneys, and he could lose his law license, a spokesman for the disciplinary administrator tells TPMmuckraker.

Great! When Sarah Palin becomes Pretzledint in 2013, she can fill all the openings in the Justice Department with his students.

6. Did he turn patient info over to anti-abortion terrorists so they could stalk them,
and perhaps in the future if abortion became illegal and retroactively declared murder, so they could lynch them or whatever?

I put absolutely nothing past these freaks.

12. Pretty f*cking scary possibility
If he's found guilty of committing any of these crimes, I hope he lives a long life and dies in jail.

teach "students" how to bend, break, and trample the laws of the USA? Kline fits in.

18. I think so. Many of the DOJ hires under Gonzo were graduates
of either Liberty or some similar "university."

9. From the complaint
Kline appears a Jeebus-jumping, ethics-deficient, self-aggrandizing, lying sack of shite.

Apart from the criminal persecution of Dr. Tiller, I wonder what actual felonies went unprosecuted because this lowlife misdirected so much manpower and material into his personal vendetta?

10. Wasn't there a story earlier this week on Roeder's lawyers trying to
get information for his trial about underage abortions and stuff? I just did a search in a bunch of places but didn't find it.

Obviously Kline's case is related to Roeder somehow. This whole thing has been a scam to get underage and late term abortion names out in public for YEARS now. It's too weird for there not to be multiple connections here.

16. Kline has been subpoened by Roeder's attorneys
They want him to testify as part of this idiotic defense that Roeder just had to murder Tiller.

13. Phillll is a fucking scumbag
After he was voted out of office, he was anointed as my county DA. And he spent the entire 2 years he was DA going after Planned Parenthood. Forget about real crimes in the largest county in Kansas, he was on an abortion crusade. The republican party finally had enough and rejected him and ran a moderate against him in the primary last year and he was badly beaten.

He also never moved from Topeka to here when he was DA, even though state law mandates the DA live in the county where they serve. A local TV station followed him as he commuted from here to Topeka. It was their top story for days. And nothing happened. The Democratic party just sat on their thumbs and laughed at Philll while he made life miserable for women seeking health care and broke the law himself.

What is the matter with Kansas indeed.

I can't even put into words how deeply I despise Philll Kline. :puke:

19. It is NOW time (beyond time actually)
to prosecute these treacherous men for what they are...women hating stalkers...and use every single word of law against them in every possible way.

Women have been fighting this kind of shit for generations, why are the men in power who agree with a woman's right to be in control of her own body not calling these hateful, murder embracing slimeballs out? Why aren't the male supporters of womens rights just as driven to protect them...as it could be their daughter, or wife...or any male Dr. that could become targets for these dangerous and despicable jerks?

26. ... could he also be up for civil suit ...
... for violation of privacy of the owners of those license plate numbers etc that he collected and were given out to the Op Rescue freaks? Because at its core, that's what Roe is ... a right to privacy issue.
