NASA: 2009 tied for 2nd-warmest year, 00s hottest decade too
Source: Ars Technica

Something unusual did in fact happen, but it only ended up shifting warm and cold air around. As a result, when NASA completed its analysis of 2009's surface temperatures, the year ended up in a statistical tie with a handful of others as the second warmest on record.

1. But it got below freezing for a couple of days here in South Mississippi
so that proves evil scientists with a liberal agenda are just trying to scare us with all their "facts." And keep your government out of my Medicare. I just love to listen to "conservatives" ramble.

4. A sham/scam?
According to the clueless right wing talking heads Global Warming is a sham and a scam to make money.

Why do conservatives hate and fear science so much?

6. Well, A Big Part Of The Problem Is That They Live In An Amerocentric Universe.
The laws of their universe say that if it's cool this summer in America it must be cool everywhere else. They are each born with Great Blinders of Patriotism that keep all the nasty things away.

5. That's not what Sean said!
Sean said 2009 was one of the coldest years on record! What would NASA know about planetary science, compared with Sean?

12. It was cool
Only in August did we really start to see a Summer. I'm sorry, but having many days in July not getting out of the 70's in NYC is freakishly cool.
